  1. Open the MyDyson app.
  2. Select your fan from the burger menu on the left.
  3. Tap the settings cog in the top right corner.
  4. Select Voice Control.
  5. Choose Amazon Alexa.
  6. Select 'Link with Alexa'.
  7. Tap on 'Link' to link your Dyson and Alexa accounts.
  8. Tap on 'OK, got it’ to finish.

After linking your Dyson fan with Alexa, there are a wide variety of commands you can give your Echo device. These include commands such as turning your Dyson fan on and off, along with a few more detailed commands.

Here are a few examples of the commands that you can give Alexa for your Dyson fan

  • Open the MyDyson app.
  • Select your fan from the burger menu on the left.
  • Tap the settings cog in the top right corner.
  • Select Voice Control.
  • Choose Amazon Alexa.
  • Select 'Link with Alexa'.
  • Tap on 'Link' to link your Dyson and Alexa accounts.
  • Tap on 'OK, got it' to finish. In addition to specific commands, you can also include your Dyson fan into your Alexa Routines and Groups. Theoretically, this means that you could accomplish things such as having your Dyson fan automatically turn on when you run your bedtime routine. Another idea is having your Dyson fan turn on automatically when you turn on your living room lights.

Detailed instructions

  1. Open up the MyDyson app Once you have downloaded the MyDyson app and setup your Dyson fan you will need to select the burger menu in the top left corner.
  2. Select Voice Control in the settings menu Tap on the settings cog in the top right corner of your fan’s main home screen in the MyDyson app. You will then see a wide range of options one of which should be Amazon Alexa. Tap that option to link your Alexa account with your Dyson account.
  3. Linking Alexa account with Dyson After selecting Amazon Alexa you will need to follow the on-screen instructions to link your Dyson account with Alexa. Simply click on the blue icon that says “Link” and Alexa takes care of the rest! It really is that simple! After you have linked your accounts try saying “Alexa, set the fan speed to three” to get your Dyson fan working.
